OK - My boat has been in the water for 2 weeks and the weather is horrible. When is it going to get nice? When I sell it?

I wanted to get some fishing in but I am not a cold weather person. Now I am mad I put it in this early to get all dirty for no reason.

Up until this year I had been getting in right at the beginning of April, usually with the same results we're seeing now and not really being able to use the boat. This year I decided to wait until the week of the 16th and I'm glad I did. From what I hear though, the boys might be running a little behind schedule already.

Hogan,

Call off this crappy weather, will ya???

The joke has gone far enough already!!!

Time to get the boat ready but need a week of good warm sunny weather.

Jonathan

Mine was supposed to be in April 4th, it's still not in and I really don't mind.

I need an attitude adjustment!!

I hear that Pete! I'm not in yet either, don't really care about that but I do hope they get it out of the back soon so I can wax it.

Just got in yesterday in south Jersey -- just in time for the nor'easter this weekend! Arrrrrrrggggggh!!!!!!!!!!!

So, who's going to be over at Croton on Sunday?

The real beauty of getting in early is that with all this bad weather, there is going to be a huge backlog of people wanting to get in as soon as the weather changes. While they are cleaning, waxing and waiting, I'll be relaxing on my boat with a cooler full of ice cold adult beverages, watching and smiling!

Mike if you go to Croton take pictures. We want to see what the tidal wave from the storm is going to look like.

Dan, my camera is only good to 100', so I doubt I'll be able to use it!

Looks like we may get a break tomorrow for a little while. May try some fishing over at Potato Rock.

It's a good thing this storm is arriving now after the snow cap has just about disappeared. We'd be in for a whopper of a flood if all the snow was still around.

The last of the snow around my boat just finished melting. I thought that I could get the bottom paint done tomorrow, but with the forcast for Sunday looking so rediculous I had better wait! Guess I can always start cleaning the inside and put things back together in there!

Glad to here the snow is gone. Sunday will give you some more!

Yup. Ken it looks like we are right on the border from what I see on NOAA. The latest was 2-4 inches of precipitation.
If that's snow, it's gonna be a while longer. High winds also.

Yeah, just what I need. Another weekend without getting any significant work done. The last three years I lucked out and got in by the second to last or last weekend in April. Not this year! I will be lucky if we get in the first or second week of May. Just too much to do.

Right now this %&**$ing storm only looks like a mix for us leaning toward mostly rain in the northern HV. If this thing tracks 50 miles south and we will get a lot more in the way of snow. Either way it looks like the Catskills and Adirondacks are going to get at least a foot. Jim's house is going to get nailed!

NAILED????

It keeps changing. Now it's up to 2 feet possible.

We have a house full of guests that just asked if they could extend their stay until Tuesday.

SNOW!! Send more!!!

HA! That's a riot. Like they say one man's cure is another's poison!

Good to hear that the weather is good for business, Jim!
