Ethanol dissolving outboard fuel lines ?

Anybody have a recommendation to solve my outboard fuel lines issue ? I am on my third set in 5 years and it is getting old. The retailer is telling me that the Ethamol is dissolving the plastic / rubber, he warrantees them but it is a PITA. They stop being able to pull a vaccuum. They are Mfg'd by Tempo, could that be the issue ?
Should I just buy the Mercruiser hose ??
I am not sure that they are any better.
 
Are the lines properly rated for Ethanol? What size lines 3/8th's? Attwood and Moeller make high quality Ethanol rated lines for outboards that take 3/8th's fuel hose.

They get spongy? I had that on my generator line on my 34' Cruisers. Replaced it all with a higher grade fuel line and issue went away.
 
I got rid of all that stuff and went with all black, ethanol rated, more expensive, fuel lines that work very well. And I also quit using ethanol. Pay extra for Non-E gas and everything runs better.
 
I never thought of just changing the hose. Of course, I am assuming that the squeeze bulb and fittings are not the issue.

I'd suggest trying Trident Marine #305 B1-15 hose or Seastar/Shields Silverado 3000 or 4000 B1-15 .
 
You just have to love ethanol; thank you government!
Cost more to make than straight gasoline, and it is less efficient than straight gasoline. Only one happy are the farmers growing the corn ! Now they are pushing for 15% ethanol. Oh Yeah; can't wait. Sorta glad I sold my boat in 7/14.....Sob, Sob !
