I want to add 12" to the swim platform of my 28' Marinette Express (aluminum). I am a diver and the stock platform is too small (18").
I would like to know:
Do I need to stay with the 5086 alloy that the platform is made of or will another alloy be OK?
Would you use diamond plate or smooth?
Should it bolt on or be welded?
What is the best way to cover up the old swim ladder mounting holes? (gonna hang a tree ladder on the extension)
