extremely low tide

Last Thursday went down to my marina at 7pm there was plenty of water under the boat so I was able to take it out. Since then haven't been able to since the boat has no water under it. Just barely floating. My marina is about 1/2 mile in from the bay. Are there extremely low, low tides happening now or is this just unique to my Marina?
 
Full moon/ No moon = higher and lower than normal tides.
 
Pete: Hogan hit it. What bay are you near? Certain bays on the Island are shallower than others, Moriches Bay, for example. Hy
 
I was just looking at the chart (map) for the Grest South Bay in the Bellport/Shirley area. All the coves and the shoreline in that area is quite shallow, with measured depths of 1 foot or so.It only gets deeper when you get out into the bay itself, and much of the bay on the southern half is also about 1 foot deep. That's as difficult an area as Moriches Bay. You definitely need to watch the tides and your depth guage when navigating in that area. You might even have to look for a marina in a different cove if the water is regularly too shallow for your boat in your present marina. Hy
 
Been in my marina for the past 5 years. Water level is normally not a problem and that the reason I keep my boat there. Its just been the last few days water level is very low.
 
I've noticed lower than normal tides recently where I am too. Very unscientific observations, but my boat looks to be floating lower at the dock and I can see parts of the bulkhead that I don't normally see.
Last fall we had higher than normal tides for a while.
It will all even itself out.
 
Winds can also push water out and/or prevent it from flowing back in.
 
The tide has been pretty high on the west side of the bay. I never realized until a couple years ago when talking to a friend who has his boat out by you how even across the bay strong winds can impact the water levels from spot to spot. The strong east winds we had over the weekend gave us high tides to the west, and probably resulted in low tides by you.
 
I went to a boaters meeting last night and several people explain that the wind has been the cause of the low water level in my area. They explain it should re-adjust soon which is good because I would like to take boat out this weekend.
