I searched to see if anyone had brought this up, but did not find it. Anyone done this?
It was in Latitude 38.

My wife asked me if we would be allowed to dock and spend the night, etc. I told her I did not know, but from what I have heard, the answer would be no.

Any inputs? Like, do they pay for the fuel? Do you get a "tour" of the island? Docks?
Men's room?

"FARALLON PATROL NEEDS volunteer skippers. Get to visit and experience the Farallons by taking out PRBO staff and their gear on your sail or power boat. Some boat size and experience limitations. Call Keith Sedwick (415) 710-4134 or email."

Dave,

Check back a few pages, I think was discussed a few weeks ago. The bottom line is that they don't pay for fuel, you are allowed to pick up a mooring in an area that has a little protection from the weather and, weather permitting, they will ferry you over to the island in their small Boston Whaler. The Boston Whaler is then hooked up to a davit where it is lifted high onto the island with the cargo and passengers inside. A tour is then given of the facilities.

There's a fairly calm/protected area on the NE corner. Didn't pay too much attention to the 'hoist' but you wouldn't catch ME gettin' hauled up THAT high.[:O]

No hoists for me either. Google Earth is close enough.
