Kohler model 9EOZD

Filter is marked 533582 Wix

Looked around and can't find a reasonable replacement. I don't think this is OEM.

Anyone know what filter this unit uses?

or a better place to get this filter.

Still not sure that tells me the part #. The Sears filter does not reference my model.
I know there are a lot of different models.

It says it fits these.
Fits Kohler 14, 16, 18, and 20 HP Magnum Engines.
 
Kohler filter should be a 229678. Wix is 51064 on cross reference. Wix or napa gold is a winner.

Kohler doesn't make motors. They make generators with other motors. Sometimes Kawasaki. Sometimes yanmar
Mine is a yanmar.

That is oil filter. This is fuel.
 
Wix, as they aften do, changed the part number. Here is the new one:

Thanks. I know I can get from wix but was trying to find a cheaper alternative as the wix are overpriced and as the secondary filter not sure it's needed.
Plus wix is only available online from one off dealers and the shipping is a lot. I see this for like $25 shipped. I guess it's the best path.

Check with local Napa, carquest, O Riley's, etc, they usually carry Wix or can get them for you with out the shipping fee's if you wait for thier regular deliveries. Secondary yes, but most sure needed, this filter is a 2 micron filter, and you want that for the life of your injectors. Your primary filter is not that fine and will let larger particles in. You wont need to change this one as often as long as the primary filter is doing it's job and the fuel you get is relitivly clean, which it usually isn't...........D........
 
What is the Kohler # for that part on the parts diagram & list you have and is linked to on your other Kohler post?
Did you check with DrummondPower or Seafarerstore yet ? For the Racor try Discountracor "dot" com .

FWIW- There is a Wix 533582 on eBay for $8 (buy it now or make offer)+ $9.75 expedited shipping.
 
There is an ebay ad for 6 of them for 75 bucks, and several with free shipping for the wix 33582.........D......
 
I think the prior owner changed out the filter do the part list is not good.

I am gonna buy the 6 or see if they will sell 3.

Will also check Napa.
