First Trip to Mystic

Im going to Mystic for my first time by boat. Any suggestions for the trip would be appreciated. Im planning on leaving Stratford at around 2pm and will be staying at Brewers in Mystic. Any idea how long the trip should take, we'll be in a 30' express and will cruise at around 25mph? is there a best route, or some local knowledge anyone would like to share?

Bring a dink to get to town if you have one. Its a bit of a walk into town from the Brewer yard. Nice place to stay though. They even have a hot tub next to the pool. If you are unfamiliar with the area watch your charts, alot of people miss the entrance to the river. There is alot of silting up on the river itself. Watch your speed and wake, but most of all watch out for those darn lobster pot bouys. They are everywhere. In good conditions we make it from Brewer in Deep River in about an hour and a half. Keep in mind its atleast a half hour to the sound for us though. We usually travel around 30 knots. Enjoy your trip andtry to get to the seaport and or aquarium if you can.

We are Mystic River Marina now until tommorrow. Nice place, very queit, very far from town.
Going to seaport today, casinos tonight, did aquarium yesterday.

What is best way into town and seaport,
can you dink to town from brewers.

There isa dink dock just past the bridge on the east side of the river. You can walk, which is about 30 minutes or so, but I would definatley dink in.
