Fishing Lights

Anybody ever try fishing lights like the ones that Optronics sells? Also, anyone have an opinion on the differences between a fluorescent vs. halogen model as far as attracting fish is concerned (I realize that flourescent should draw less amps)?

Not really what you asked for but.....
I use a Hydroglow 4' light and it atracts huge amounts of bait & squid. First time I used it offshore we caught 2 swords and multiple YFT that night.
The Hydroglow is fluorescent and used 20% of a group 24 battery in 12 hours of useage.

What color was the light and how deep did you set it or did it float?

Green light floating.
Has tuna zipping in & out of the light most of the night.
