I am trying to come up with a better way to flush the motor on my 252, I've never been a fan of those ears, always seems like there isn't enough water going through to me. I've seen kits at Boater's World that allow a modification to the pick up lines going to the water pump. They are advertised as a "winterization conversion kit." After looking at my setup I don't think that particular kit will work, but maybe I could fabricate something of that nature. Any advise or warnings I should take into consideration?

Dave;

Neutra salt makes a kit that can be permanently installed on your boat. It allows you to plug in a hose to the boat when you return to the dock and flush the engine and their chemical into the motors. this will solve your trouble as you can put the water inlets anywhere you choose. I would not try to run water thru the system without the engine running so you need a flush system that is designed for your application and keeps the impeller wet at all times.
