What is the best way to unstick a stuck Rule float switch? This one does not have the test switch.

Why is it stuck?
Is it stuck because of crud build up? If so, a good cleaning should take care of it.

I usually just take my dockside water hose down into the bilge and wash it down with the high pressure nozzle. Do that on a regular basis and you won't need to use any cleaners, but if you do, any decent cleaner will do. Simple Green, Fantastic, Spray 9, etc. Just put some cleaner in the sump tank and hit it with the hose. The water will pump itself out.
You want to keep that sump tank fairly clean so crud doesn't build up and it won't start to stink.

I used bleach. Let it stand; then rinse with water; all better!

If you do use any bleach, use it sparingly. Just an ounce or two in the sump container when full of water.

Bleach may kill rubber parts. I used bleach once and my rubber check flapper valve stopped working.
Personally, I would just get a new one because once they fail once, no matter how clean you get them, they will fail again soon.
New will last a longer time and cause less headaches and flood.
If your gonna clean it with bleach, take it out and clean on dock so as not to introduce harsh chemicals to the sump.

Problem was three fold....bad float, bad ground and bad connection for the pump......all is good now.
