There is a new wreck out in Franks Tract. It is what is left of a houseboat about 35'-40'. I believe this is the same houseboat that was tied off to the bank just inside the Mokelumne river, of the SJR. The hull and house remnants are floating but hanging out in a relatively small area in the middle. If you have the lat/long numbers I gave before, it is pretty close to the 1st wrecked duck blind, but it does move.

What a great service you have provided!!!!! I look forward to the lat/lon. I avoid Franks during the warm months when all that cra$, I mean, grass grows so thick, but when the water is cold, I often take a shortcut out of the Porthole, taking a NE heading.......

The first one.
I forgot to mention currently the wreck is very visible at all tides.

When Phil was towing me across Franks Tract this AM, the location has changed. Seems this wreck is subject to currents and winds, so keep your eyes open if your in the Southeast portion of Franks...

I was out on Franks Tract yesterday at low tide, and NONE of these wrecks are visible! BEWARE and take your GPS with you.

Definitely beware 'cause the houseboat in Franks Tract moves around with the currents. Scary!

Phil, I've been out on the Tract and it appears that everything is underwater even at low tide. I have the lat/lon for the duck blinds...is this wreck still moving around? Peter

That latest wreck did settle down in the couple of wind storms since I posted. The house has floated away but I do believe the hull is still out there out of sight at all tidal stages.

Guess it's just waiting to snag someone...
