Freeze scare ~ unprotected~no condoms.

Okay. I am away on business and have asked to have my boat pulled this week. This freeze concern question gets raised each year - sometimes with the response - if we don't get a "hard freeze," you motor will be okay.

The weather forecast tonight may break 21 degrees. If the boat is now on the hard (like many boats pulled this week are) ~ (with out winterization) are we okay? Mostly care about the motor - much less about the other water systems. Thoughts?

A lot depends on how warm it gets during the day. It takes a lot to chill cast iron to a constant freeze. If you have power ask them to throw a spark proof 100 Watt fixture in the ER. It will keep it warm enough until you can get it winterized.
