I'm planning a trip south from Kingston to the Battery. Do I need to take any precautions or take any post cruise measures going from fresh to sea to fresh. I would think I would flush the system on my return.

Thanks!

I think its more when leaving seawaters and trailering to a lake is more to worry about. Up and down the same body if water should be fine.

You will flush the motor naturally when you go up the creek so to speak.

I would enjoy the trip and not worry.

Before you pass Croton Point, you must pack a cooler with 12 heinekens and a bag of ice....float it toward the beach.

This sacrafical ritual allows you a safe passage.

Forgot about that one. :)

s/b good to go. however, make sure all of your zincs are in place and still have substance. While we normally only spend a week or two in salt every year, during years we don't spend time in salt, the sinks fair much better!

Thanks. Looking forward to the trip. Likely will only spend a night so not concerned about the zincs. Mostly concerned about my fellow boaters.
