Time to replace my freshwater pump and as usual when I start looking for a replacement I have no clue which one will be best for my situation. The pump will be used on a 37'-0 ChrisCraft with a 50 gal fresh water tank. Currently I have a very old Shurflo model 2088-422-144. When at the dock I use the dockside water hookup which gives me more pressure than the Shurflo. I'd like to have the same pressure when away from the dock but not sure which pump. Normal water pressure at the dock is around 30 psi. There seems to be a big difference in the PSI as well as GPM of different pumps. I have an accumulator. When reading some of the info on different pumps some seem to say an accumulator isn't needed. Do some of the pumps have an accumulator built-in? I'd appreciate any advice as to PSI and GPM as well as any specific brand.
Thanks for any advice.

a few of the high end pumps have built in accumulators...

otherwise the shurflo extreme pro blaster works pretty well. I prefer the old fashioned version with pressure switch than the fancy variable speed unit which arent' as reliable.

Just remember, when you are at the dock, you have high pressure but also an unlimited amount of water. When away from the dock, you only have 50 gallons and a high pressure pump will go thru that 50 gallons pretty fast if you are not careful.
