How did the winds effect your weekend? I was sure sorry to see the fires in Yolo County and other places!!!! The CDF and others did a fantastic job of saving homes and lives.
I decided to go ahead with my trip to Stockton. I waited until the tide had fully turned and the incoming current was running with the wind. That helped to smooth things out. I also choose to take Connection Slu and stay off of SJ Channel as long as possible. With the favorable conditions, I made it to the mouth of the Calaveras River in one hour. Winds were not bad that far up the channel.
It turned into a beautiful weekend weatherwise and I had a great time! Sunday's return trip was calm and lovely.
