Next project....

Replacing the 30 year old fuel hoses and want to install new (leak resistant design) fuel deck filler hardware while I have it apart. My 3607AC OEM hardware has a 4.25" diameter flange and a 2" filler hose. I am having problems finding a same size replacement online.

Any ideas?
Thx
Don

what's wrong with the stock one ? When I did mine I replaced the O ring and reused it.

Aside from orings being bad.., Threads are corroded making them difficult to break loose after long periods of time closed. Chrome tops are scratched from fighting to open them. Finish is 30 years old and look like 2 a$$holes on my otherwise pristine boat. If all else fails I am going to need to find someone to strip and replace the originals (last resort).
Since my deck fills are in direct flow path of gunnel draining IP would prefer a raised lip design that deflects water flow on the leading edge (splash shields) which reduces the potential for leaking should orings wear. I have seen these in smaller deck fills made by SeaDog.

Back to the original purpose of the post - where can I find replacements with 4.25" flanges and accommodating 2" hose? [:-banghead]

Perhaps you may have some insight on this one given your experience with Carver parts...
Thx
Don

Yes that is a great idea, go with some good ss ones, we did on our project carver, look on ebay.

Don, I know they were special to the 36's and the 3227 Convertible. You may want to call Carver Service Dept and ask whose they are...they should be able to tell you. Then you can trace down the manufacturer online. I know we've ordered them in the last few years, but I'm not in parts so I don't know who the vendor is...sorry

That Perko one is not the one used in the 3227 and 3697/07 Carvers. The cap on those is huge with two holes in them for a key/ spanner wrench. A normal deck plate key is way too small to use on these caps.

Decided to strip, powder coat and replace orings
Will drain my Racors periodically this summer for water to assure the leak issue is solved.

Kenny, you are right, these are larger fill caps requiring a special spanner wrench, and I noticed after stripping that the caps are imprinted with Perko on the back side. Since initiating this email I found them online but much more expensive than the $20 powder coating fee.
