Fuel Stabilizer in Fresh Water Tank

Thats right, my friend just poured 4-5 oz of stabilizer into his water tank. After 4 fill and pump outs there still seems to be lots of residue.
Any ideas? He doesn't drink out of the tank, just washing and brushing teeth etc.
 
add a couple of gal's of cheap vodka - the stabilizer will attach itself to the vodka and you should be left with just the vodka taste
 
I would run some dish washing detergent through it and then several rinses.

Yes,
Decades ago – in my stupid period- I pumped some gas into the water tank and after many flushes, some with bleach - the final flush was with Vodka
It tasted great – or I just didn’t care ;-)
 
Lots and lots of fill, empty, fill, empty...

Have any denture problems that your friend had been stabilized??
