I have a Furuno 1951 radar with a 24" open array which came with my "new to me" boat. I need a new GPS and believe that I would like on of these new systems that will overlay radar on the chartplotter. I am considering Furuno because I think that I can use my open array with a new system. I stopped at BoatUs today and they sell Furuno. But they don't have any units on display. The salesman said that he would have to call Furuno to price a system and get back to me. He said that Furuno is more difficult to deal with than some other suppliers. Yet people still buy them.
Can someone who loves their Furuno system help me understand why it is worth it?
