FYI Crawdad Festival is June 14 weekend

Just a heads up, we saw the signs for the Isleton Crawdad festival this weekend and it is June 13-15. If you have not been, it is great fun for everyone. Lots of people boat in and tie up or anchor off the Isleton dock, or you can drive in.

It's fun to see how a town of about 1000 people deals with about 100,000 people! Grea fun, lots of crawdad food, dancing, a fair with rides...

What do you mean? Was it not in town in Isleton? Have they moved it to a field?

yep in a field about 2 blocks towards the
highway
town had a few venders

There has been an ongoing battle between the Chamber of Commerce and the CHP about the festival tying up traffic on Hwy 160 all day, so it had to be moved away from the hwy which runs through the middle of town........

I had a good time, but it was really bad to move it to the field. I know some of the people in town and will pass on everybodys feelings (as if they did not hear it already!). It was so much hotter and dustier in the field, and all of the little shops were left out of the main traffic.

We actually spend most of our time at Isleton Joes listening to music and people watching. Some really beautifull bikes up and down the streets and a lot of crazy people but did not hear of any bad issues.
