I had a occassional problem last summer with my gas detector setting off. It would do this at a long idle on hot days. It would also do it if the generator was running for a long period. The blowers where on everytime it happened. When I opened the engine compartment, the detector shut off. I didn't notice anything unusual such as fumes. This is my first boat so I'm soaking up information like a sponge. The boat is a 40' 2002 Regal.
