Anyone want to guess what the price of fuel on the water be this comming season?

Whatever it is Wayne it will still be one of the smaller parts of the boating budget!

Gas: 3.89 at the start of the season, Diesel 3.39 Hopefully will drip mid-summer

Happy new year John,

Where did you get those small round LED battery powered lights you have ?

Yeah I'm guessing around $4 for Gas. Don't assume diesel will be less than Gas. It isn't right now. I don't know why. I'm hoping that the spread (profit) between gas on land and gas on the water will narrow but I doubt it.

BJ's Wholesale Club

They also work great as underwater lights! Just ask Relentless ;)

4 dollar gas? I'ts going to cost alot more to drive over to the pump out now...rat's!

Get a longer hose Randy!

Probably cheaper than gas.

OK any investors out there? I thought about this last year and didn't do anything about it. Would it make sense to buy oil or gas futures now as a hedging strategy? This way, when oil / gas goes up, the profit from the futures will offset the extra money we have to pay for fuel. Kind of like insurance. I would hate to be in a position where I had to reduce my usage. That hasn't happened yet.

I wonder if there is a place closer than Bowline where we can anchor?? If only we could get under the Penny Bridge!

If you cut off your arch and on really low tides I bet you could fit. Just don't hit my boat on the way in, I'm the first slip on the right.

You know Haverstraw Marina used to be a nice spot before they put the marina there. Had a nice little beach that you could back the stern onto and not bottom out. Great for water skier's and it was closer than bowline!

It was around 1972.... The beach used to be over by the boat ramp...Very sharp drop off...Spent many days in there on the beach...just wish I could remember some of them...

Well I guess Hogan will cut Croton out of his vacation this year. It will be a little to far and burn to much fuel. I guess it's bowline for the week.

Hey Wayne,
They did a nice job on your boat, (sodablasting) that is.

Perhaps we can run across into Georges Island. Good thing about there is we go a shore and use there park facilities. Nice picnic area, covered and all.

Bob, how quickly you forget, "Croton is dead to me". My vacation is 2 1/2 weeks.

How about a slip swap program this year?

With 4 marina's accessible without going under the bridge right in Stony Point Bay you visit 3 different marinas during your vacation. Fishing, water skiing, swimming, watercraft... Hell throw in a few nights on the hook near the inside of Stony Point lighthouse and you have a dream vacation inside of a mile or 2!
