Yep, if it doesn't have brackets holding from underneath but held down by caulk/sealant, I used a heat gun to gently heat glass and a flexible putty knife under stove top as I work my way around until it breaks loose. Take painters tape or similar and tape over glass area, any chipping if while removing, will be contained. (I have a new Princess stove top if you need it...but it's 220 volts.)
