Going to "AquaPalooza" at Tim's II Fairview Beach?

Who's going?

The admiral and I will be heading to Aquapalooza with about a total of 5 or 6 couples in 3 boats.

There are several "AquaPaloozas" around the country in late July. This is the one at Tim's Rivershore II ( www.tims2.com ) at Fairview Beach on the Potomac River.

This is a Sea Ray sponsored event, but all boats are welcome. Last year, there were about 150-200 boats, and it had a floting stage with country singer Taylor Swift as the headline act.

We're launching at Occoquan Regional Park at about 10:30 am, and plan to arrive at AquaPalooza by noon.

Anyone going?

It was a fun event. Everyone must have saved up their gas money and spent it to go to this event. I estimate 300 boats. Another in our group thinks 400 boats. Big turnout, any way you count it.

Were any other ROs there?

Update:
I just read an article that put the boat count estimate at 1,100 boats! Wow, we were way off on our estimates of 300 to 400.

Can't believe none of you were there ?????
 
Would love to have attended but had a club cruise down river. A couple of boats from my marina went and had a blast. One boater said he stop counting at 360 boats, neat to hear there was over 1000 boats strong.

On another note, a friend from DC stop by to say that a few boats who were still down at Tim's yesterday, got beat up during the afternoon storm.

Ahhh, maybe next year I'll be there!
