I'm back now; got back about dinner time Saturday night. Did some sightseeing (to include the Maker's Mark Distillery) and reacquainted myself with Lake Cumberland, as well as visited Green River Lake (where I stayed) and Barren River Lake, where we had a real nice houseboat outing.
Danny (Barren River) was the perfect host onboard his houseboat. The boat ride was actually on Barren River Lake, where Danny keeps his boat; not on Lake Cumberland. We were out for about 2 hours, then he docked it perfectly in his covered slip at the marina.
His houseboat is a Lakeview, 70 feet long x 16 foot wide, and he slid it into the slip just as pretty as you please - in a driving rain and 30+ MPH winds. Didn't hit or rub it on either side coming in, and the slip is only about 18 or 20 feet wide! And he didn't even have a drop to drink, to calm his nerves before easing it in! Just careful control of the two throttles, and it was a fait accompli! Real good job! He's a master at it - a master I say!!!

Danny, was that good enough of a testament, or do I still owe you the 75 bucks for gas?
Seriously though, he did a yeoman's job in docking that monster, in less than favorable conditions! Thanks Danny, for a very enjoyable evening.
And to top it all off, he and another friend of mine grilled steaks for us before we left.
