i have been looking at buying a gulfstar sailmaster 47. the one i am interested in is named 'Claudie". she is currently in stockton, ca. does anyone know anything about this boat?
also do the 47 sailmasters have any serious inbred problems? you know, stuff like bottom blisters and electrical problems.
there really isn't much literature about them on the web that i have found. does anyone have an owners manual for a 47 sailmaster? i am curious if the hull is cored.
any info would be a great help.
thanks,
nick

FYI -- Hal Schell's last SDelta Dawdler was a Gulfstar, but I don't know if it was a 47'. Beautiful boat. Warren

Hal's last boat wasn't a Gulfstar, it was a 44 Golden Star/Nova. I looked at the boat in consideration of buying it. I know the couple that ended up purchasing the vessel and saw it last week t Mandeville. Very nice boat.

Al, I thought that was Hal's boat! I saw it too when I cruised through Mandeville on Saturday. I was so busy dodging dinghys and anchor lines, I didn't have a chance to give a holler to anyone!

We waited for you all day at Bedroom 3, but no love from Liz! Maybe next time...

Well, if I had known.........actually I didn't make it over to the bedrooms area at all. My guest needed to get back to the dock, have dinner and drive back home, so we ran out of time.

First we went to the Rusty Porthole.....what a HUGE disappointment! The menu was so limited that they didn't even have fish n chips available. And the place looked like a dump. I was embarrassed that I had taken a guest there. We did not stay. So many places were closed, we ended up at Chili's on Lone Tree in Brentwood/Oakley. Dinner for two was $20. Great deal!

Bethel Island's newest eatery, Island Joe's Cafe, was open for breakfast/lunch? They were not open for dinner. Liquor license is pending..... Any body know anything about this place?
