Here it was Saturday afternoon and I had Martinez Mitch's family on board for a Bay cruise to celebrate his father's 79th birthday. We weren't away from the dock for three minutes (the Admiral was still stowing fenders) when a CG boat zooms up to us

and asks when we had had our last boarding. I replied never and they came aboard.

I was a little embarrassed, due to the timing, but I was polite and the Coasties were very friendly. Took about 15 minutes, everything checked out and they were off to check other boats.

I asked this first guy if he had ever fallen in when getting on or off a boat. He smiled and replied: never around here! I couldn't resist asking him where and he said that he had fallen in the Caribbean. I told him: at least the water was warm. He laughed and was gone in a flash.

All in all a very positive experience and the funny part was all of my guests thanked me for the special experience since they had never gone through a boarding either. By the way Mitch's family was delightful and we had a great afternoon!
