Made it from the marina to Port Jeff today. Great ride. Next stop Greenport. Then Block

Vacation really sux.

Are you going to be at Port Jeff tommorow, Port Jeff is about 15 ninutes from my house.

Walter

Now I understand I know you hate bridges what did you do try to burn them down as you went? I spent 4 hours in traffic do to the bridge fire. Please don't do that any more.
Have a good trip. My vacations start next Friday several trips planned. Including helping a friend bring his new boat up from NC.

Dave, I only go 20 MPH, 5 hours a day at the helm is enough for me - plus, I don't want to get to Block on a weekend. Walter, we are leaving PJ in about an hour.

Sorry I missed you, by the time you read this I will assume you will be in Greenport, looks like a nice day so all should be good.

5 hours is my limit also, prefer 3 hours at a clip.

Well, we are now in Greenport in Mitchell Marina with a great slip to view the fireworks tonight. The ride over was not bad until we made the turn at Plum Gut and started heading into the wind & waves.

Forecast for BI Sound tomorrow looks pretty snotty 5' - 7' seas out of the SW, west winds 16 - 21 mph. Gonna have to make a call on the crossing in the AM...

Here is the latest forecast Mike,
Get your butt to Block!

Today
SW winds 5 to 10 kt...increasing to 10 to 15 kt late. Gusts up to 20 kt this morning. Seas 3 to 5 ft.
This Afternoon
SW winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 to 4 ft.

Tonight
W winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 to 3 ft.

In case anyone was wondering, Hogan's sneakers float.

However the little girl that fished them out of the pool is being treated for sneaker trauma!

If he was, I hope he had his official BE "If You Can Read This..." t-shirt on!

We also found out that Bobby's shoes float, as well!

Is it ever going to warm up this summer?

Lots of clothing items going in the pool but very few people. Man it's been cold. Al Gore lies yet again!

Been having a great time on Block, plenty of sun and food. Caught lots of squid, no clamming for me this year.

Champlins is still fairly empty, lots of open slips.

So far, we've been to Crescent Beach, Ballards Beach and the Coast Guard Beach. Probably hang at the pool today.

Kids have been biking all over the island.

Andiamo!!! Andiamo!!!

"let's go" - but you have to spend a night an morning in the Great Salt Pond to really understand.

Aldo drives around in his boat selling muffins, coffee and other baked goods, you can tell he is nearby when you hear him yelling, "Andiamo, Andiamo"

Mike, is that Aldo Golberg from Goldberg's bagels and muffins? Happy Birthday Gina !!!!! Sounds like a great trip. The dock is a bit quiet with out you around. Who really wants to listen to Butch all day? Glad you caught lots of squid. I have another 25,000 lbs on hand here today if you want a few more pounds for Gina to cook. Speaking of, how are the eats??
