Handheld VHF

[84LiIrish]

I want to buy a backup VHF. I've been looking for a web site that will compare models or provide recommendations but I've struck out so far.

We cruise locally around Annapolis and take a few overnighters each year.

Any suggestions on the right radio or the right place to look?

If you are looking at Uniden models, look at the MHS350, it comes with two batteries, is fairly cheap and has lots of features:
