With the prediction of heavy ( 2" - 4") rains and gusty south and souteast winds, looks like we'll have to go to Croton on Saturday. Then it turns to north winds on Sunday, so we'll pack up and head over to Bowline.

Who else is planning on being out?

Mike,
Why you moving around? Seems like a good weekend to add extra lines and stay in your slip.

I was thinking of taking the boat out to the Ambrose tower to check it out.

"stay in (my) slip" - I ain't no "dock mary"!

Dockmary? Thats a interesting term.

I don't think it will blow as hard by you as by us.
To just float out somewhere and risk breaking anchor or loosing tackle is not worth it to me.
Been out every weekend this season except 1, so I will be a "dockmary" and either hang on boat or just check it periodically from comfort of my car! Wish I had a webcam watching my boat!

This storm is screwing with the end of my Fluke season.

Last day in NJ is Sunday. Was going to go tomorrow but that ain't gonna happen now.

The extent of my boating will be to add a few fenders adn lines this evening!

Dock-mary ? thats funny as heck, never heard that one before .
We will be out as usual...This weekend we are headed up to the TUG-BOAT round up in Waterford. They cruise from Albany parade style to Waterford this afternoon and usually arrive around 5 or 6 .

Saturday night there is fireworks and old time eire canal songs from bands all weekend plus the usual vendors tug push off contests and other fun stuff.

If you like Tugs it's the place to be....
Dock-Mary ? That one cracks me up ! but I still think bridge mary may be more on the money for certain company :)

So, where is everyone?? We're over at Croton and it is as calm as can be.

The radar shows all the rain going to our west and north!

C'mon over - FREE BEER for All!!!

It's on it's way ... keep 'em cold

Actually the euphamism I heard was dock queen, but, that doesn't sound pc anymore.

We're stuck at the dock here in MD. Hanna just finally went through (the sun is out now). The winds were east for the majority of the day (and our slip has protection from that). But now they're out of the north at about 20-25 knots (gusting higher). I hate staying in the slip, but I'm not going out if I don't have to in that.

Be careful up there!

Actually, we've been at the dock all day. The heavy rain has been falling for about 2 hours, winds are not too bad. I think we might have to cancel our BBQ plans!

Well we were supposed to go tuna fishing tomorrow night but it looks like Hanna scared away all the fishermen for tomorrow. They canceled the trip. $*($ )#)(*# _#

Dock Mary!!!!

We are out riding the perfect storm waves, taking them over the bow and then riding the face. Ocean waves are 15' plus! This is fun!

You are all either full of #**!!, or I have lost a lot of respect for you as responsible boaters. [:-captain] (only kidding, as I hope you are).

We have spent the day monitoring the storm as it;

#1 Passes right over our retirement home in Myrtle Beach, SC

#2 Passes over our current home in Central NJ

#3 Passes over our boat in Haverstraw.

Maybe it's time to move to the Keys!!
