A boatload of customs agents stopped by to let us know to be on the lookout for suspicious activity on the water. They were extremely nice and friendly, that is a posed shot, but we had a ton of laughs!

Macys in the east river was excellent ! Packed with boats despite the showers on and off..
79th street boat basin worked well we grabbed a morring $30 bucks per night , quite calm ,no rollers ,but the usual ripping current
so make sure you have good gear if you hang on a mooring there over night.
All in all a great 4th . Hope everyone else had a good one too.

Jon what's the max size boat they let on the moorings there?

Dan I did not ask but there are some huge sail boats there ,so i guess freedom wouldn't be a problem. Was real easy to deal with the guy too, ended up waking him up sorta took the 30 bucks and said take any one you want, north or south of the basin , a few #'s were taken and the obvious ones with dinks tied to em, but plenty to choose from.
I think inside was 2.75 per foot easy to pull up to the T dock to talk to them also. Decent price for manahattan i'd say, resturant opens at 11:00 no breakfast,but the marina let us tie up free for a few and i jumped in a cab and got bagels coffie and egg sandwiches and was back in about 25 min. with breakfast as we putted upstream,like i said before it was really calm at night a few rollers from tugs but not real bad nice and smooth i would deffinately go again nice view too.
