We are thinking of trespassing in hogan territory and might go back if the resturant is back.. Otherwise we needa anew destination
Rob

Nope, and there are no confirmed plans to do so at this time.

There are plenty of much better restaurants nearby, a number of them will pick you up and bring you back.

Or, you could just anchor with us and BBQ.

I'm curious Mike, which ones will pick you up? May feel lazy one night!

Mike,
theres a bunch of us ... usually 4 - 5 boats in the pack....

If we go ill ask walter and don....

We will be a hand full for sure...

Is havestraw marina the place to stay or u recc otthers. They had awesome pool right on the hudson.... other then that and the resturant there was nothing ....

Rob

Rob,
Dave and I were there 2 years ago.... I liked the place.....

Email me or post you agenda for this summer, Dave and I would be intrested in joining you on some of your trips....

P.S.
If you hook up with Mike, make sure you have plenty of beers. :)

Walter

John, I think if you called any of them, more than likely you could get a ride.

Haverstraw is the best place to stop for transients, it has deep water and a nice pool. You can also hook up to Judy's cable and get free TV!

We anchor at Croton, across the river from Haverstraw or Bowline, just south of Haverstraw.

We can easily handle 4 - 5 boats, check out these raft-ups:

Mike,
I need to run my genset 24/7, I assume that would be a problem in a raft up?

Walter

We're not big on gas genny's running all night, if there is no wind, it could be a major catastrophy.

We all shut ours down when we go to bed, how come you need to run yours continuously?

Open the hatches, let some fresh air in!

Diesel----Diesel------Diesel!!!

No CO fumes. Just stinky diesel fumes. Ha!

Run mine all night, hell all weekend long.

That's why we put you down on the end!!

Last year at the raftup was only the second time I've run my generator all night excluding tuna fishing trips. Even with diesel, it's nice to open up the hatches and feel the breeze! Unfortunately a lot of the newer boats aren't designed with fresh air circulation in mind.

Fresh air would work for me, and I have cross ventalation.....Need I Say more..... P.S. fresh air is free......

Walter

Hey Rommer,
I keep getting bad news that PBM is full.
How does Haverstraw look for the summer?
Any open slips NOT near a Go-fast?

I'd give up on PBM unless you plan on hiring a hitman! :)

Plenty of room at Haverstraw. I'm new there so I can't really speak about the go fast layout but give Crystal a call and I'm sure she can help you out.

I have to head up there is afternoon and would be happy to ask any questions you have. I'm leaving around lunch time. Send an email via my profile.

Bob;

There is very few go fast in haverstraw, and really not much of a concern. There is one or two in particular, and when they "idle" out to the river, it really doesn't matter where your slip is.

Most of the time its a very quite marina. Being known as a transient marina though, we get a number of large groups that come to party. They are usually a little loud their first night and then seem to quite down after that. At least until the hangover medicine kicks in.
