Anyone still alive in here? C'mon wake up folks, this forum is DEAD!

What are the plans for this summer?

Who is doing what to upgrade the boat?

When are we launching?

I'm still busy doing Boat Shows, Mike!!! I want to put teak parquet in the cabin but haven't had a chance to do it yet. Hell, I need to fiberglass the bottom of my workboat but haven't got to it yet either, and we need it to put the docks in...

Plus the Docs say I might need another stent. So that will keep me busy for awhile too...

1) Making fender covers.
2) Replacing the CRT TVs with LCD's.
3) Building cabinets and doors where the TV's used to be.
4) Redoing the forward windows weather seals.
5) New bow anchor roller.
6) Replacing microwave with combination microwave/toaster oven.
7) Adding access hatch to the sides of my bridge stairs for additional storage.
8) Replacing gallery faucet with a pull spray unit.
9) Cockpit enclosure. (maybe)
10) Replace bridge stereo with one that actually works with the remote control.

Summer plans are still up in the air but I expect to finalize before the end of the month. Cover comes off the boat mid march. 1st ride April 1st, rain or shine!

Sorry Mike but some of us are still in the middle of football season. :) :)

We're still trying to get a slip at PBM (c'mon Hogan, a little help here).
BTW, I saw your pic on this site and now remember you, I think.

Bob do you mean that you are going to sacrifice attendance at the Boatigras?

Well as far as launching....76 days and counting.

And trust me when I say it, I am ready for it! As far as upgrades, Was thinking about 2 twenty year olds or one hot 40, but dont think Caryl would go for it. So I quess I will have to settle with putting satellite radio on the boat. Have to fix the windlass or Caryl is going to develope some big muscles this summer!

So Mike, you going to be around for the B dock get together?

Bob, the bad news is it dosn't look like any empty slips on B dock. I hear everyone is comming back. Who wants to give up a good thing and we all know, B dock is GOOD.
Im hearing that PBM is full but cant say for sure.

Ouch, that hurts!

Yes Butch, we're already paid in full.

John, what faucet are you using? I'd like to do the same thing.

Is your existing faucet a single or multi hole unit? We have a single hole unit.

I found a place with some closeout stuff we are considering but I may just visit home depot.

I don't want to post the link and violate forum rules so I'll email it to you.

Would love to find a single hole goose neck style with single lever control.

Mine is multi-hole, but the face plate will cover the holes.

FYI - this is the new microwave/toaster oven we are installing. (Click the picture for the man. website)

We have a toaster oven on the counter now and this will give us back some of counter space. The unit works pretty well, makes toast, bakes, grills and microwaves in a rather small package. Would have loved to install a convection unit but not enough room in the cabinet.

Ah, the Warm and Toasty, we have the same one, Bob highly recommended it. Where are you installing it, I thought it said not to install it in a cabinet.

Fortunately, my list is very small (I think):

- New stainless cupholders on bridge - had to reem out holes for nine out of 13 of them. Silverton used crappy plastic cupholders that are an odd size.
- Change panel on icemaker to stainless
- New stereo on bridge, current one has broken CD player
- Install new/replacement GPS unit
- Purchase and install Magnum Catalina grill
- Need some graphics and CG number plate
- BF Order: new lines, fender covers, throwable
- Tune up props
- Tune up engines
- Zincs, paint, etc
- Clean, clean, clean the boat...it needs a good cleaning!!!

Also, I already started bitching about getting the basin ready early. I'm still annoyed that I had to jump on the pile driver the first weekend in DECEMBER and pull pipes in 22 degree weather. Other people need to take their responsibilities seriously...I want to be the first one to go in again!!

I am installing it in the existing space but it is completely open area behind and around the unit. I removed any flammable material in the area. The manual only asks for 1 or 2" of clearance and I'll monitor it closely. If need be I can add a small fan to circulate the air but so far it hasn't been an issue.

I can see where installing it in an enclosed cabinet might be an issue. My install may look enclosed but it really isn't. No pictures yet.

We got our first one before the holidays. Had to have it replaced since it was smashed in shipment. Seems the UPS guy was new and Jake ran outside for his biscuit he always got from the last UPS driver. The guy freaked and threw the box up in the air and ran away! Landed right on the box conner.

How do you and Gina like yours? Are you talking about Starry Night or Relentless?

Thanks for reminding me about replacing my stereo Chris!

The list continues to grow...

Starry Night.

We like it, but with all such multi-units, there is some compromise. It does all three things well, but not as well as independent microwaves, toasters and ovens would do their respective jobs.

John, I have a single lever, single hole faucet with a pull out spray in my galley, I'm pretty sure it's a Grohe. I looked on their website, I don't see the same style I have anymore, but they do have that type. Very expensive though.

I have both the Gohe and the Moen single hole faucet with the pull out sprayer.

Moen is much better, parts are available, much cheaper and the unit is solid.

The Grohe is junk. Nothing but headaches. I'm too lazy to crawl under my sink and change it out. Next time the plumber comes to my house, it might just go.

Mike, Arubu trip is soon?

Jonathan

We leave for Aruba next Saturday morning.

Kimmi is going on her annual vacation to Richie & Andrea's in Orange County.

Ahhhhhhhhh, a week in the country, plenty of table scraps and a little boys face to lick!

Life if good.
