Hi, Im about to buy this boat, any thing I should be aware of? I would really like to her owners likes and dislikes of this model.

Some questions:
- Do they all come std equiped with, fridge, stereo, sink and freshwater tank?
- Is it a storage room on the deck in front for ropes and a anchor?
- Is it well equiped with storage rooms outside and in the cabin?
- Is it a storage room in the back for anchor and bouys?
- Is it really seating 10 peoples?

Since it difficult to find this boat here in NORWAY I have only studied the pictures on web, and its hard to tell..

Iam seeing forward to hear from all of you Ventura 6.8 owners, with tips and hints.

Hey, I have a 1993 ventura 6.8 and I love it. I dont think they all come with fridge, mine did not, but if the one you are looking at
is a 98, if probably did come stock. The stereo, sink and fresh water are on all the 6.8's.
There is a storage compartment on the deck for ropes, but not for the anchor. I think there is a way to stow the anchor at the very
front of the boat, but I havent figured out how it works.
There is plenty of storage.
You may be able to put ten people on the boat, but it would be very crowded.
The only problem I have had with the boat is getting it to plane out with alot of weight on board.
Usually, if you have more than three people on board, you will need to get as much weight in the front as possible,
or it wont plane out. I have the 7.4l , which is the largest engine and still have trouble, but once its planed out
it runs great. I have heard that trim tabs help tremendously, but I have not spent the money to install them yet.
Good luck, hope you get the boat. I have not found another boat for the money that I would consider. Its a
great boat!

Ian, just fyi - I have the Ventura 7.0se VP w/5.0Fi/DuoProp. I had problems getting on plane, especially pulling tubes. My local boat guys suggested I downsize the prop which I did. I droped from an F6 to an F4 - WOW made a HUGE difference. boat now pops to plane (loaded). The rpm range on my engine is 4200-4600 and with the new F4 props I hit 4200 now (only hit 36-3800 before). I lost a little WOT speed (about 3mph) but I seldom ever run wot. Talk to your local prop shop....
Good Luck

I just traded in my 1998 6.8 Ventura. It was an excellent boat and in great condition.Mine had a stereo, sink, porta-potty, table and freshwater tank as standard equipment. There was good storage in the cockpit, cabin, including an anchor locker. It also had two built in "coolers" behind the aft seat. The cockpit could probably hold 10 people but it may be a bit crowded. It also had a nice swin platform. If the boat you are considering is in good shape I would go for it it.
