Here we go again - Boat broken

Well finally got some news. The mechanic finally took the drive apart and called Volvo. Volvo has agreed to send me a whole new drive. Figures now that I booked a week vacation to Florida next week (couldn't take it anymore). I have also requested the mechanic to prime and paint the drive and to bill Volvo since I just spent $100 on paint to paint the defective drive. I guess I should expect the bill in reality. Maybe Memorial Day weekend. Of course I have a Christening on Memorial Day weekend Sunday and I have to work the following weekend. What is the point of a boat again? This boat will be for sale once I clean it up.

They should replace both drives.... and buy the boat back from you... and give you a ton of money for your pain and suffering.

Dream on, Leigh, dream on...

I know, I know.. Wishful thinking... Goodluck Rob and I hope to see the boat back in it's slip shortly..

Geez, I still wonder if something is causing those bearings to go. Perhaps they just had a bad batch. Or perhaps as others have said, the measurements are out of whack someplace. Its a shame, because you hate to be that skittish about driving a new boat like that...

HOORAY. I got the boat back yesterday. Ran fine driving it to the marina. I started cleaning it. Will spend the weekend waxing it and other loading/prep work.

I hope it keeps working well for you for a long time. Enjoy the good weather we are just getting.

TZ Finished the work. Crossing fingers on any more major failures.

As for the sale - I am up in the air or on the water I should say.

I cant win. Now the air conditioner does not work. It pumps water fine and the fan blows but the compressor never kicks on. And guess who is the only dealer in the area? Anyone know any good AC guys that can fix this thing. We wanted to stay on the boat this weekend but now that its going to be hot this weekend we are not.

Who has put the hex on me?

I would call SPBM, 845-386-3700 and ask for him directly. I'm assuming you called the Airgen number and it may take a while before he checks that.
