OK, All that know me know iI'm inprocess of a nontypical repower.... Now it's tome to prop! The recomended hull to prop clearance is 15% of the prop dia. So, stock would be 16" x .15 = 2.4" from the tip to hull. Stock clearance was 1.75" no issues... I want to go to (am going to try it)a 17" pro so clearance will be 1.25" only 7.5% of the dia.
Whats it goimg to do????????? Make more noise?? vibration?????? If it's not going to rip the hull appart I can live with alittle noise and vibration to gain the efficency of the 17" prop!!!!!
