Its sad to see Yankee Stadium go out this way - with a mediocre team playing out the string in lackluster fashion, after giving us the last 14 years of the most exciting baseball we could ever have asked for (not to mention all those other years since 1923)...

Joe Torre, bless his heart, may get to face the Mets in the playoffs, while the Bombers will be on winter break polishing their BMWs (or in Jeter's case, his Ford Edge ;))...
 
Big bucks players not the key to championships..sometimes the team of superstars just bottoms out. Give me a team of young "hungry" players anytime over an overpaid highly pampered group of A-Rods-B-Rods-C-Rods-D-Rods or whatever!
 
Hey Pete, I know how bad the yankees did yesterday but I did not see how Boston did. Just wondering, do you know?
 
The split, same as Yankees, it's all status quo.

Any shot at first place rest on the next three games head to head with DEVIL Rays.

I know that it is early in the season.

I know it is only 1 game.

But . . . Watching a "high school" Quaterback beat Farve.

Well . . . Sweet :D
