Don't worry, I learned my lesson about Commercial Ads the last time. This is definitely non-commercial. I have no financial stake in this whatsoever, unless you count the fact that my wife might throw me out of the house if I don't get these boxes of stuff out of my family room ;) ...

You see, I still have a bunch of literature that we requested from all those upstate travel agencies for our Boat Shows in the winter. Since show attendance was down I am left with all these leftovers, but since this is our NY State Tax Dollars at work here I really hate to just throw the stuff out, even though everybody is telling me I should...

So, I thought I'd put the word out and see if some of you Yacht Club guys could take a box from me and put it on display in your clubhouses. Its all Adirondacks/Thousand Islands, Lake George, Erie Canal, some National Weather Service Stuff, and a few other things. I'd be happy to drop the stuff off if you tell me where. At least that way I feel like I'm doing my part for New York State tourism...

Chris told me he'd stick some stuff in Croton, and I handed a few boxes to some of the marinas at the RCC boat show. But I'm sure some of the other clubs/marinas have gathering places where displaying this stuff might be appropriate - I sure hate to see it go to waste. Let me know...

Haverstraw Marina has a display area just inside the office door with a fair number of brochures on a rack. You can ship me a box but if you are in the area as you are facing the main locked gate just to your left is a door to go in.

There are 6 or 7 marines in a less than 2 mile stretch so I'm sure you could make one trip and get rid of most of your literature.

Do you think they'd be willing to put the stuff out? I'd be happy to make the trip on my next ride to NJ to see my client down there...

I'll ask them when I'm up there this weekend.

Other Marinas in the area, Willow Cove, Stony Point Bay, Patsys, Belle Harbor, Minisceongo Yacht club and Penny Bridge All in a row....

Thanks, John. Any help you can give is very much appreciated...

Unfortunately I stopped by the office on Sunday and they were closed. Who would have thought!

On the other hand the main lobby area which is open 24/7 to anyone has LOTS of space for brochures and things. There are 3 wall racks and counter space with shelfs underneath to hold the boxes of extra brochures.

While I did not get any permission I'd bet a bottle of your favorite beverage that you could drop off 3 or 4 boxes without any issues. Fill some of the racks and I'll stop in each week or so and re-stock. While you are down this way stop at the other marinas and I'm sure you will have no trouble dropping a box or 2 at each place.

John, I appreciate your scouting the place out for me. I'm sure I should ask permission, though. Who should I contact over there??? I'll give them a call and then I'll take a ride by the place...

I'd ask for Kystal. I believe she works Wed-Sun.
