I'm not sure if Mike has net access, but I haven't heard from him. I just need to know if he's running the inside, want's/needs me on board as a deck hand, and what time he wants to shove off?.....OH...and what's the name of your Marina?

let me know.....

The marina is Total Marine 355 Great Bay Blvd, Tuckerton, N.J.

Can we borrow your Mastercard tomorrow?

If either of you really needed it Yes. But back to the topic they still haven't returned.
Bill 8:32PM.

They are back. We can not really make a decission until at a bare minimum before 10AM, not because I like to sleep late but we are going to have to base it on tide and wind. High tide is real late in the day but I'm hoping the water stays in the back bay so I can get him through the sticks without churning mud. Once I get him to the ICW no big deal, then again maybe this front blows through tonight and we can go outside. Dominic how about we call you by 10? I just don't want to damage 2 boats. Today the tide was much higher than usual 18" above normal but that was when Mike just got here and earlier the wind hit was gusting to 29 knots. I know he wants to get out of here ASAP but it would be better if it wasn't behind Towboat US or US Boats.
Bill

Lucky we have a very high tide tomorrow we may be able to leave between 11 and 11:55 AM. Now I just have to decide if we stay inside or go outside. I normally prefer outside but we have a new wreck in the inlet so I will call the local towing service in the morning and ask for the co-ordinates but it may be visible. I just want to be safe than sorry. The earlier I can get Mike out I know it will be better but again I don't want either of us especially him to bump or hit bottom. Bill

Billy
Tell Mike I will be there with him in spirit and wish him a safe trip. I know he is in good hands with you and Dominic, you guys are the best.

We're aboard the new Hogan, got it straightened out and are now relaxing. Bill has been great, he even let us use his car to go to dinner and pick up some supplies. Lucky for him, we went to a BYOB, and didn't bring our own booze.

We'll make the call on how to proceed tomorrow am, and let you all know.

I just caught this thread, congratulations Mike and family. Looks like you're headed for quite the adventure today. We went down to Barnegett in May and ended up leaving the boat for a few days, driving home and back due to Easterly winds and rough seas. We also were fogged in for the night one day on the way down. I hope the weather gods are good to you guys. Then again, you have much more boat!!

Best of luck with the trip and keep us posted!

Mike,
It looks like it's a touch snotty out there, but even worse tomorrow- have a safe trip

At this point after listening to a Trawler loose his dingy because of the waves off Beach Haven I know we will be taking the ICW. Now we just need a few hours for the tide to come up. Looks like we will have plenty of water in the back bay. We are 3 minutes from dead low as I write this.
Bill

I just spoke to SeaTow a friend he is reporting 6 to 9 footers now on the outside. So it will have to be the ICW. Dominic I will bring Mike out the creek about half way out the sticks cut across the flats and into the ICW near Beach Haven Marina (107).
Bill

We left on the rising tide. We almost got through the flats actually I bumped called Mike and he got stuck. This was right before ICW 101 in the Parker cut to Beach Haven. After about 20 minutes Mike was able to get off I called my buddy at SeaTow in case. Looks like no damage other than my ego. I feel we left a bit early. While the back bay water was higher than normal the water behind the island on the ICW was not. I left Mike and Family at marker 94 North. Dominic you might want to listen for him on channel 69. If you hear from Mike let me know that he is ok (on the board if possible). We ran miles and he reported no vibration or high engine temps. The funny part was his depth gauge said he was in enough water. However I remember looking at the boat and I think the rudders are attached to the transom and lower than his props. I think there was enough water I called him and told him I bumped and to move to Port but in the confusion may have said Starboard, my bad. Let me know if you make contact with him. I saw no large boats on the water other than him and I. Looking back I'm not sure this was a good weekend for this trip. My wife is upset at me for what happened.
Bill

We have been in contact with Mike via text and the last we heard, about an hour ago, he was under the rt 37 bridge heading for a night at Mannasquan. All seems OK Billy.

Seems I spoke a bit too soon, they only made it to Manalokin.

BTW - way to turn a 4 hour trip into a 5 day cruise!

:)
