Ok, looking for some help/input. I just recently noticed what appears to be a leak in my holding tank. At first I thought it was a fitting on a hose connection, but I have examined all of them and they all seem to be fine as well as dry on the outside. It appears to be a leak/hole in the actual tank, and from what I can see, it appears to be coming from the front of the tank (side that is forward against the bulkhead) or somewhere underneath. The deodorizing liquid appears to be running from that direction and into the bilge.

My questions are: has anyone experienced a hole in their tank? I am really surprised, seems like a well manufactured thick sidewall tank.
Has anyone removed their tank? And if its possible can you repair or do I need to replace?
Thanks in advance guys!

Boat- 1999 Sea Ray 260 DA
Tank model= 28 HTS-T holding tank

Never had one repaired, but I heard you can have them welded. Do a search on plastic welding in your area. I just removed a 13 gal tank from my boat and installed a new 24 gallon one. Not to bad to replace, just make sure you pump it out and run plenty of fresh water into it to clean it out good before you work on it.

Thx! I'm just really surprised it has a leak, the side walls are really thick.

How was the tank secured in that you removed? Mine appears to be screwed, but it looks like they hit each one with calk and I'm hoping that it is not 5200. It looks like they are going to be tough to loosen
