This project started out as a galley flooring replacemnt. I have a 1986 44' Gibson Standard houseboat. I tore out the carpeting on the galley floor and saw that the plywood floor had been cut up. I unscrewed the plywood flooring and found the old holding tank. It hadn't been used in years. A previous owner had added another tank in the storage area. Must have decided to just leave the old leaky tank where it was. I took the old tank out, and want to put the holding tank back where it belongs to recoup that storage space. I also need to replace the sanitation hoses as I believe they are permeated. Seems like a good time to do it all at once.
I have heard that Ronco plastics is a good place to check out. Does any body else know of a place to get a good plastic holding tank from?
Any helpful hints in replacing? I'd appreciate any advice you have.

Very much like that only bigger, like in the 75-100 gallon range.

Stick with the Ronco. Most of the Todd tanks are only 1/4" thick. To prevent permeation, you need a minimum of 3/8" thick. The Ronco tanks are. Also, they will spin weld in the fittings exactly where you want them. You can also upgrade to a 1" vent to help eliminate odors.

Okay, I will go with Ronco. Thanks for the advice. Is there any reason to move the position of the lines? I was going to have Ronco just put them in the same place as the tank that I pulled out. I think that I will increase the size of the vent line to 1" as suggested here.
Any other advice?

Think of future servicing such as replacing the hoses. Also, if you have at least 5" free height above the tank, then consider verticle dip tubes. That will also make future servicing easier.

Thanks lobsat1. The location of the tank will allow access to the lines through the storage area.
Only 3 inces of clearance, max on top, so not enough room for the vertical dip tubes.
