OK Guys (and Girls), I have been following for a while and have read the previous posts. I didn't want this to be my first topic but I need your help. I have 1979 35 Bertram with an old Lectrasan unit that discharges directly overboard. I bought the boat from somone on Lake Michigan but she now lives on the Gulf of Mexico. I know the overboard discharge laws. The Lectrasan isn't working. I want to remove it and install a holding tank system with pump out, at sea emptying, and direct discharge capablities (we fish 30 miles offshore). I now have a Groco manual/electric head. I know I need a 3/8 tank. Can anyone recommend a specific model, I guess with a dip tube? Also the best Y valve? Since I'm asking, is it possible to use the raw water intake as the same thru hull to pump out the tank with the mascerator? The head would go over the side when not directed into the tank. Anyone else done this on a similiar boat?
Thanks in advance!
