Ok all here is the deal.....On the 4th of July my wife and a few very select friends take the boat to the Charles River for about 14 hours to enjoy the world famous Boston POPs and Fireworks right above our heads! We have several ladies on board and we use ALOT of electricity!
Radio, Elec Flush Toilet, Lights, Refrig, and the ladies all want the Air Conditioning running ECT ECT.....I have a honda eu2000 that I have not had the use of yet out on the hook...We are of course at anchor the whole day w/ no shore power, we also have a three battery system.....
SO using the generator is our option...Not a problem....If I have done my math right it should sufice...The problem is storage of the unit itself...We do not have an extended swim platform...Only the small one on the back of the boat, which if while running I leave it there leaves it extremely vulnerable to the rouge wake some Police boat will inevitably make....The next option is since we are never running the boat durring the day to run it in the engine compartment...Thus putting it out of the way, and getting rid of nasty CO fumes via the blowers....Seems like an OK idea to me....As long as I don't intend to run the engine, have the blower on for a long time prior to putting it down there....LEAVE the blower on the entire time, and take it out before turning on running the blower again for a long time before turning on the engine the next morning....
So I'm certain alot of out there will say I'm crazy, does anyone see this as a workable idea?
Could really use the input or alternate sugestions!
Thanks
