I guess by now most of us are on the hard and trying to figure out what to do on weekends.

How is everyone making out? At least we have Thanksgiving next week, then the Christmas Holiday, but after that, the real depression sets in!

No problem. Casinos to visit, rooms to makeover, leaves to rake and snow to blow, books to read, honey-do lists, etc., etc. It's what to do on weekends that'll be a problem.

I have not stopped working since the boat was taken out. No time to think about it. Spent the day today in the attic sucking up dust rewiring the damn cable due to this lousy digital crap. Lots of wire and splitters and the TV I want to improve the picture on I still cant do....To top it off Caryl now has a peep hole in the wall in the living room...OOOPPS Oh well another job on the honey do list....

I did get to see the boat yesterday though...Had to stop and say hi to the girl...

135 days and counting....

Oh the tug that sits by panco sank. Booms all over the place. Stern sitting on the bottom. I guess it was rolling over since they have lines on it pulling i up right...

I just got hauled out Friday, finished winterizing over the weekend. Haven't had a chance to get to the house projects yet!

Yup, the honey do list is in full view. In my face and ugly. So far we have a set of cabinets to install in the basement after roughing in plumbing, a new washer dryer, and then there is the floor in the living room...
Who has time to be depressed?

Just got hauled last tuesday.

Spent most of my time being grouchy on boatered ever since.

Have an intervention scheduled for tomorrow.

I was wondering why I was around the house so much -- no boat to go to. With the dark night arriving earlier, that means more time with a cold one or two. The kids have even noticed that dad's around more. Might redo the kitchen cabinets but as soon as the snow flies, I'll be skiing or snowshoeing. Stripers hit in March so that's not too far off, right?

Spent the weekend pickling the engine, and getting it ready to be wrapped up. Anyone know how sharp barnicles are? I do. I had to scrape some off my drive and a ton off my trim tabs. My right hand is missing skin off 2 knuckles.

Next weekend wrap it up, the following begin depression and drinking binge!

Scraping barnacles is easier in the spring...they must dry out or freeze or whatever, but I've found it less of a problem then.

Get a meat cutters metal mesh glove. Use the glove on your hand to wipe the barnacles off.

Try that next year. I power washed them off as best I could, which I think also loosens them, than scraped the remaining. It wasn't really that bad, but my putty knife slipped a couple of times. Next time I'll start earlier, so I cna see what I am doing.

We rent a house in Old Forge, NY and go up every other weekend to go snowmobiling.. Tons of fun....

I was surviving fine until last night. The guy that did my shrink wrapping finally installed the door. So late last evening(10pm), I went to the boat to store some boat items such as grill, fenders, power cord, PFDs, etc (we're moving). I was annoyed to see the door upside down and had mixed feelings about wrapping the swim platform. From the ladder, I was able to get the door open. I loaded up the stuff, had a cold beer and dreamt of summer. Just what the doctor ordered after spending all day cleaning and getting organized.

It was much more difficult closing the door with the zipper on the inside. I got most of it done, I struggled, I reached, struggled, reached some more then....whoops, the ladder slipped out from underneath and humpty-dumpty went a tumbling down. All the kings horses and all the kings men were...asleep! Luckily, I only banged up the shin pretty good!! That's going to leave a mark!

Go get yourselves a hot tub to get through.

I put mine on the promenade deck off the house.

The water is warm and the beer stays cold longer. That's the way to dream about summer.

I'll second the hot tub. Helps with the depression of not being on the water, atleast your in the water.

I'm good up until Super Bowl, after that it's not a good time for me. No boat shows, no football, no nothin!

Planning a trip to the Bahamas or the Keys but that's won't happen until March.

I've got ten days in Aruba at the end of January, that way, I'll be watching the Super Bowl with an awesome tan.

We're doing a bareboat charter in the BVIs/USVIs but that won't be until March also.
