How close do you live to your boat?

45 min drive from work or home to the boat and 10-15 min ride to our preferred spot and 45 to three other spots we like.

They just dredged to 10' so we can get out anytime - before it was every other weekend. Going out in a few hours - heading to Napa for repairs and hope the weather holds out till next weekend for the return trip!!!

What are those places in Oxbow going for now? I always thought it was cool.

Right now there are fixer-uppers starting at $230K to homes on the slough side for $349K. Of course, all asking prices.

Or you can come up to my neck of the woods and pay that for a nice house on 1/2 acre. 2 to 2 1/2 hr drive to the boat!

Where abouts are you? I spend a fair amount of time in Grass Valley. Yup, definitely alot more affordable up there. Lots of nice lakes for boating, too.

I'm along the Hwy 88 corridor in Amador County [between Jackson Rancheria Casino and Kirkwood]. I find lake boating awfully boring compared to the Delta, Bay and Pacific Ocean. I've been spoiled by the best!

A sail boat, now that makes more sense to me for having on the bay. Is that good Italian restaurant still there at Marina Bay?

Yes it is! It's a very nice "Undiscovered" Place!! Lot's of good times there.

I am also at PIER 39 most of the year. Less than 10 minutes from the office 30-45 minutes from home depending on traffic. Keep the boat for a couple months on the Delta in the summer, 50-60 minutes from home depending on traffic. I like getting away from the house to spend time on the boat don't think I would want it in front of my house. It is also great having a place to stay in the city. Now the ski boat would be great to have docked at the house. Discovery Bay would be a bit more of a commute to work than I would like.

I just moved my boat from Discovery Bay to Pier 39. Still have ski boat in Disc Bay in dry stack.
Not thrilled with Pier 39 docks, but it is great to have a place to stay in the City.
