How to clean tarnished/stained stainless steel

It appears that the acid cleaner used to clean the boat bottom stained some of the ss trim on my boat. The ss looks tarnished, any ideas how to clean a stain caused by this. thanks
 
Wenol (product name) metal polish works well on most metal. However, if acid has hit it, I would think the surface has been etched somehow.

Thanks for your reply, but my wife had a cleaner called Barkeepersfriend, that cleans ss sinks. It did a great job.
 
Shelia Shine is the best SS Cleaner I've ever used. Cheap also compared to many marine specific products. Comes in either liquid or spray cans.
