WE have a 2002 Carver 350 Mariner. The cockpit has padded bolsters across the transom and also on the transom door. I plan on having them redone with new vinyl but cannot figure out how to remove the one on the transom door. The other
parts are easy, just clips and screws, but nothing is visible on the door. Since the door is hollow I removed it from it hinges to look inside thinking I would see screws or pins, but nothing is visible.
Any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

i'm not sure about your Carver but on mine the cushions slide straight up and off. They hang on a drop in hook device.

This would be my guess as well in fact it's the only way I have seen them installed. If it has never been removed it might be suck in place with dirt and grime.

Thanks for the replies. I agree with your suggestions about hanging on brackets and lifting straight up , however the one i cannot remove is actually setting on top of the transom door which is about 4 inches thick and hollow. I am thinking that it might have plastic pins that get pressed into holes in the top of the door.
I know a picture would be very helpful but the boat is in storage
