Hello all from Huntington Yacht Club. We scooted in here to get out of the wind and are enjoying it immensly. Tomorrow we're off to Greenport.

The weather is looking to heat up - don't worry, we have plenty of beer on ice and enough food to last us.

Hope you and yours are having a great time, Mike.
I have to paint the bottom with poison. Can you do something about the weather, please?
The suit and mask are a bit warm.

Mike I hate to say this but you don't have a lock on the fun!
We've hit the "Top o' the Rock", the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Little Italy, The Village, and of course the fireworks in NY Harbor. We've been to the Yacht Club out there, and there is an Italian place called (I think) Piccolo's that was terrific.
You might say that we're slim on boating, but, we took the Circle line to Ellis from NJ, thence to the Statue, on to NYC, where we stopped at "Steamer's Landing" for a pizza and cocktail, and then on to the water taxi back to LibL.
Everyone can get back into the pedestal of the statue and look up. It's amazing how much work has gone into the restoration. All of the iron work that forms the shell has been replaced by stainless. For those that went up into the crown when they were kids (like me) it was a bit of a tear jerker not to be allowed up there again. A serious imposition on our Freedom if you ask me. But despite the lines we were lucky enough to get in and out quickly.

Ellis Island was a reflection on the changing of America. 'Nuff said and when I resubscribe perhaps I'll start that up in NBR.

After a very rough night in Oyster Bay with high winds and rain we had hope that the weather man was wrong as usual and headed for Block Island. Why is it that the weather man is ONLY right when they predict bad conditions?????? A very rough trip but fun none the less.

Hogan, they didn't cancel the fireworks in Oyster Bay. We had 3 shows to watch simultaneously.
