Hudson River Poker Run

When do they decide if it will be delayed until Sunday?
 
I guess when it starts raining...
I dont remember it ever being on the rain date before...
 
The weather guessers are calling for the worst of the rain and possible thunderstorms from noon well into the afternoon. Who knows...but I think I'm going to bag it for going out.
 
Looks like they ran the Poker Run yesterday as planned. From some of the pictures I've seen, the river looked pretty flat. However, there didn't appear to be that many boats...certainly not as many as we have seen in years past. Did anybody go out yesterday?
 
We went out on Butch's boat, there were only 5 boats that went past Haverstraw, and none of them even stopped in the marina for their playing card. It was calm, but raining and a lot of crap floating in the river.
 
I was at my marina from 11:00 till about 1:30 and I didn't see them go. Was looking for them.
 
I didn't think they were supposed to stop at Haverstraw Marina for their cards. I thought they were stopping down by the new condos...where the ferry comes in.
 
We went in to the marina and there were people on the dock across from the gas dock with cards to hand out.
 
We were So. Of TZ. It was amazing! Not as many boats this year. Tons of crap in the water. Most of the race took place on the West side of the Hudson. Give me sometime to upload the photos.
