Hudson Water missing again!

But how do you get rid of all the dead bodies that walk around Minnesceongo thou Mike? That place is a morgue! Do boats ever even go out from that place?

Better go get my flame suit on. ;)

A couple of nights of us there (especially with the gifts we got the ladies) and they'll be fleeing like rats from a sinking ship!

I like the ring of that Mike. The Minnesceongo Pole Dancing and Wine Guzzling Salon.

The fuel docks gone now we have to work on the members! Then it's ours for the taking.

Why overtake Minnesceongo when you got Bowline - just build a few docks. Look at all the money you can save by traveling to Bowline.

Ice eaters are for wimps! ;)

The marina in the pictures doesn't supply ice eaters. You have to supply your own. Then again, they don't work to well in the mud anyway!

When we winter in the water it is at Haverstraw Marina, about a mile south of this one. Nice protected cove and they supply the circulators (ice eaters) and pay for the electric to operate them.

Whenever I want to bitch about Haverstraw, just have to remember these pictures.

Everything else can be dealt with.

Pete

We've been in both marinas and I have to say the people that become your friends define the marina. With the people we have met at SPBM it's very easy to overlook the at times shallow water.

Don't take me the wrong way, there are many nice people at Haverstraw as well.

Geez, how'd they get the Hudson levels to drop with all this Global Warming going around? I have been waiting for the Metro North train tracks to go under water...

I agree many things make up a good marina, with friends being right up at the top. We live and hour and a half south of our boat, and don't have the ability to check on in on a daily basis so the water depth and wind protection that Haverstraw offers is of major importance to us.

Wow,I found my set of keys I lost ten years ago. One problem, now I don't have the car! Im always a day late and a dollar short.

At Penny Bridge, the owners and fellow boaters keep an eye on our boats.

They do the same for us at Haverstraw, but I don't trust anybody's eye more than my own when it comes to my boat.

My marina....and most in the area that I know of...have ice eaters in to prevent damage to docks (floating and non floating) and bulkheads whether there are boats in or not. Maybe because Toms River is more susceptible to freezing due to salt content, depth and wind than other areas?
