Actually a couple of questions. I have a gouge in my gelcoat on the keel that I need to repair along with a couple of other chips. I need to repair these before bottom painting next spring.
1st question: If you have experience with gelcoat repair kits what is the best product to use?
2nd question: Does the hull temp need to be above a certain degree. I know with the Marine Tex products it says the hull has to be above 70F. While our boat is stored inside the building is not insulated or heated. Would I be okay using a heat lamp to warm the area to be repaired or do I need to wait until spring time?
Thanks - JLT
